Boney Island

People entering a Halloween haunted house attraction

For 19 years, the ultimate spooky event happened each Halloween season at the skeleton-themed Boney Island. Designed like a mini amusement park, it was the creation of my friend Rick Polizzi, who prepared months in advance to set it up at his home in Sherman Oaks, CA. The incredible exhibition was a labor of love, and offered to the public free of charge. The attraction became so popular that the city ultimately demanded that Rick pay a huge sum of money for police security and crowd control. Sadly, the costs were too great and Boney Island was forced to shut down in 2017.

Kawarau Peak

Spectacular mountain peak with fall colors

This dramatic summit overlooks the Kawarau River, near Queenstown in New Zealand's southern island. The area is popular with adventure seekers; offering bungy jumping, jet boating, white water rafting, and of course great scenery. Photographed in 2005.

In the Waterfall Grotto

A beautiful woman relaxes in a pool with waterfall

It was a pleasure to photograph the stunning model Asia chilling out in a luxurious pool. This is a color 2D version of a 3D stereo image, photographed with my Nimslo Quadra Lens camera on Fujichrome Velvia film in 1992. The stereo version can be seen on the 3D glamour gallery.

1963 Corvette Stingray

A rear view of a silver 1963 Corvette at a car show

This magnificent 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray split-window coupe was displayed at the Rodeo Drive Highways to Heaven auto show in downtown Beverly Hills. The car was the first incarnation of the legendary C2 styling, known as one of the finest body designs in automotive history. It's my dream car! Photographed in 2015 with a Fujichrome H3 camera.

Along the Aloe Trail

Exotic desert plants of African origin

The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden features many different themed landscapes. This is a view from the African section, photographed in 2015.

Cataract Trail Falls

Cascading falls in a deep green forest

Once upon a time I hiked the enchanted Cataract Trail, located on Mount Tamalpais in Northern California. There I witnessed numerous waterfalls in the midst of a lush, intensely green rainforest. Photographed on Kodachrome film in 1993.
